I don't even know where to begin this rant. I'm angry. I'm *incredibly* angry. I hate how people can be such ignorant swine! I found a group on Facebook today entitled "Soldiers Are Not Heroes". Pardon me? Did I really just read that? I have honestly no outstanding opinion of this war, but I CERTAINLY support our troops. Let me copy and paste some of the groups opinions for you.
"Does the thought of hero worshiping our armed forces make you want to vomit your spleen out?
Are you fed up of being told that soldiers deserve constant gushing praise?
Stand up and show members of the armed forces what you really think of them and their participation in needless bloodshed.

* A white T-Shirt – Any one will do
* A phrase of protest such as the following to have printed on your shirt:

"Soldiers are not heroes, footballers are"
"Proud not to murder civilians for a living"
"Everyone knows soldiers are best covered in egg"
"War is wrong... But don't tell soldiers"
"I won't stand behind the troops, neither will I stand in front of them"
"I was raped by soldiers and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"
"Soldiers don't die for my freedom to wear this"
... You could put all sorts on there.
THIS GROUP ISN'T A SOLDIER HATRED GROUP, JUST A GROUP AGAINST THE HERO WORSHIP OF SOLDIERS."

How purely idiotic. I don't care if it's not a soldier hate group, if it's "a group against the hero worship of soldiers". It's SICK. I'm curious as to how many of those 2,544 in the group were brave enough to get off their computers and stand on the front lines and get shot at. Their main arguments are that there are soldiers out there who rape and kill civilians. That isn't all of them, you know nothing twits! There are murderers and rapists and all KINDS of terrible people HERE! However, the news and media only publishes stories on the few sick people out there that make mistakes, rather than those who do their job, and protect us (Even the ones who just sit on their computers and debate things like this.). How dare you say that these men and women aren't heroes! You don't see what they do for YOU, so that you can sit on your butt all day, on your computer and say that they're not heroes. They DIE for you. They get shot at so that you can pretend you know everything there is to know in this world and everything about life when you DO NOT.
I believe the fact that their picture is the siholuette of a KKK member really sums it all up.
Some people make me *sick*.

Wow. I completely agree with you. That group is disgusting. If they truly feel the need to make a group against those FEW rapists and such then they need to narrow it down a bit more than just soldiers in gerneral. Wow. I feel bad that soldiers are risking their LIVES so that unappreciative, jerks like them can say and do things like that.
this honestly made me sick to my stomach. i hate people sometimes. how can they be so ignorant?!
i need to know where this facebook group is because there are some of things i need to tell them. i dont want to cry. i hate people that dont know shit about whats going on.
