I Don't Care For Your Fairytale

Lately I haven't really been doing anything besides sitting at home, rereading my books (in case you haven't noticed, I read A LOT!), and listening to music. Lately I've been OBSESSED with the Sara Bareilles album. I just discovered this website, sugarloot.com, and they have all sorts of fun contests. I was considering entering a couple and if I do, I'll most definately post my entry up here so you can all vote for me! Haha I feel like such a nerdburger saying that. And an even BIGGER nerdburger for just calling myself a nerdburger. OKAY. . . Anyway, I persuaded my mom to read Twilight and I'm constantly talking about it now. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE BOOK!
In other news, my stepdad's cousins are here from Germany. This probably sounds totally stupid but I SO HOPE THEY SPEAK ENGLISH. Otherwise, talk about awkward. I mean I already have to explain my bizarre non-relation to them since they're already his second cousins (The kids that is. That's who I'm talking about), let alone attempt to say it in German. I guess the son is my age or something. Whatever.
So I guess that's all I have to talk about. If there are any song/monologue suggestions for me, btw, I'm open to ideas!

Chillin' Out Maxin' Relaxin' All Cool and All Shootin Some B-Ball Outside of the School

The statement above is basically a summary of how my summer has been so far. Pretty much just sitting around, rereading everything in the house. I got a couple of new books today though. Some quick reads from the cheesy teen series' I'm addicted to, The Color of Water, and a guitar how-to book. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. I looked for Janet Fitch's novel White Oleander, but sadly, borders didn't have any copies. White Oleander is by far one of my favorite movies. The acting is phenomenal (probably due to its insane cast of Alison Lohman, Michelle Pfieffer, Robin Wright Penn, and Renee Zelwieger) (pardon my botched spelling. It's midnight) and the cinematography and camera work is absolutely stellar. Another good book to check out (probably girls. It's quite a girly novel) is Twilight. It's a series about a teen girl who falls in love with a very attractive, very charming vampire. Don't be fooled, the books are thourghly addicting. Another interesting read from this year was The Rules of Survival. I read it for a school project and I could NOT put it down. I also really enjoyed My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. It was amazing. The Lovely Bones is also one of my favorite books, ranking with Stargirl by Jerri Spinelli, The Secret Life of Bees, Of Mice and Men, and of course, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. The Bell Jar was such an interesting book. There were so many things in it that were cryptic I read it over and over last year and I can't wait to get my own copy. Some of my favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks and Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen's novels are set more for the teen set, but in my opinion anyone would enjoy them. Another book that was really intriguing (spelling? Remember that it's late) was Thirteen Reasons Why. Its a novel mostly told through the tapes that a girl left behind to send to the people responsible for the thirteen reasons why she committed suicide. It was a darker novel but I enjoyed it. I actually enjoy reading darker, more brooding novels than, omigod! puppies and bubblegum sunshine novels.

Well look at that, I just wrote a HUGE paragraph all about books. Shows what a book nerd I am :P. Oh well. I love books! But I also love music. I can't wait till the morning when I can grab my guitar and crack open my guitar book and start attempting to play! I started skimming it and it definately looks difficult, but I think with a little help from my guitar playing friends, I should be able to manage.

I tried posting pictures from the party, but my computer isn't cooperating with my mom's camera, so I'll get them up ASAP!

So thats all I can think of for now, except that August 1st is the Breaking Dawn release party at borders and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! AHH! I'm dressing up as Rosalie (oh Breaking Dawn is the latest Twilight Novel!), but as Grease Monkey Rosalie, so I'm wearing jeans and a white tank top and we'll be covering it with like oil stains and I'm carrying a wrench to make it look as if I just worked on a car. hahah SO EXCITED!

Love and miss you all!

"Like Sands Through The Hourglass. . . So Are The Days Of Our Lives"

Haha. I hope that title got a laugh out of some of you. You know, I was flipping through the channels one day (I rarely watch TV anymore), and Days of Our Lives is on so I laughed a little because basically soap operas are crap but then I realized something. We talk about how much soap operas suck and how their effects are terrible and the storylines are so incredibly unrealistic but hey. They're making WAYYY more money than I am. So I guess I can't really say anything. And they're kinda fun to watch. I made up this game where every time someone starts fake crying really horribly, you throw something at the TV. It's quite amusing actually because there's a LOT of fake crying. Frankly I'm not sure what the point of writing all that was, but hey it was fun. Oh well. I guess thats proof as to how boring my summer's been. I suppose I SHOULD be working on stuff for French class and it's really bad that I've been putting it off but I JUST found my packet. I'll do a little today but then I'll probably stop because. . .

I GOT A GUITAR! It's beautiful and shiny and guitartastic! I absolutely adore it! Thanks SOOO much Daddy and Jamie! Oh and Evan and Bruno and Bandit too. So now I'm off to play it and then later I'm going grocery shopping. Again, what an exciting life I lead.

Warpeddddd

Well nothing really exciting happens in my life. I generally sit at home and do absolutely nothing. But I figured I should recap what's happened since I last posted. I went to my friend Megan's party which was a TOTAL blast! I played Rock Band for the first time. . . I'm pretty sure that I am not meant to play the drums. Well. I'm not meant to play the drums if it means pressing the orange foot bar thingie whenever the doodad goes over the yellow bar. Tres confusing. Also, I lost my French Packet. Which is not good. Considering that I need it for the first day of school. Ouchh. I've met up with Steph and we went to the movies (hahahah I'll never forget that!!!) and then today, I had a sleepover with Jess. We went on a walk through the woods and now my entire leg is covered in huge gashes. But so we're clear, I did NOT know that we'd be going through the woods in the rain. Sooo many frogs. Not a plesant experience. Anyway. That basically brings me to today! I've just been really bored lately. The rest that I have planned for this summer is :
MY BIRTHDAY! 9 days!!!
Lake George with the fam 25-27
HOPEFULLY Warped Tour 28 ( I've been looking ofrward to this ALL YEAR)
And visiting with my dad/stepmom/brother at some point.
Sorry this was such a boring post.
