Just Some Lyrics

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart
On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
So mothers be good to your daughters too.

If Love Is A Labor I'll Slave 'Til The End

Not too much to comment on lately. My life has been pretty uneventful. I can't think of much to say so I'll just post some recent happenings:
-Today, in History, this kid asked if a wench (as in pirate wench) was a tool. I have no comment on his stupidity.
-Freshmen. Still. Annoy. Me.
-I'm pretty bummed because I can't go to the football game tomorrow. :[ I love football games.
-I've been very into singing lately. I go outside every day and swing and sing. I'm a cool kid.
-Here's a list of what I've been listening to lately-
All Time Low
The White Tie Affair
Tokio Hotel
Taylor Swift
Three Days Grace
Rise Against
The Republic Tigers
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Paramore
Metro Station
Justin Nozuka
Hawthorne Heights
The Dresden Dolls
A Cursive Memory
Yeah. . . I listen to a lot of music.
So anyway, that's about all.
Love and miss everyone:]!

"I Believe Whatever Doesn't Kill You Simply Makes You. . .Stranger."

I FINALLY SAW THE DARK KNIGHT! Yay! Seriously amazing movie. I saw it with one of my friends who'd already seen it four times, and apparently it gets better and better, because he keeps going back. Although, it did make me miss Heath Ledger very much :[. And to be completely honest, I did cry. But enough of that.
My audition was yesterday. EPIC FAIL. That's basically all I have to say. As much of a bummer it is, I completely understand why they didn't call me back. My friends Ethan and Jackie, on the other hand, were AMAZING, and I have no idea why they didn't get called.
Curious. . .
This is probably going to be a very boring post, but what can I say? I haven't done much lately. I've been filling out Solfeggio (sp?) for Chorus, doing homework, talking to some of my friends. Basically the usual. However, Annoying Kid in Geometry, I still hate Geometry. If you even need to wonder why, please refer to the reference in the last sentence. I mean really? Throwing spitballs? How old are you, five? Go back to eighth grade, or get some better material that DOESN'T make a mess on my desk.
In English, we read Elie Wiesel's Night. Phenomenal book. If you haven't read it already, I suggest you do. It was intensely terrifying in a psychological way, and makes you extremely thankful for what you have.
That's all for now!

In Fate's Hands

So right now, I'm just sitting around waiting for Mom to tell me when we're leaving for Steph's house. I think we might be going to the movies tonight. . . That's always a blast! Last time, the theatre was EMPTY. We ran around the entire time. It was so much fun. And her having Jess as a cousin is really helpful. Jess is one of the nicest people I've ever met. And she's 18 and therefore can drive. So she often takes us to the movies and out to eat. I'd like to thank this opportunity to say THANKS JESS!
I actually had a pretty good day today. I ate lunch in the Senior Lounge with my friend Ethan. So now I've been getting 67321013382901 IMs asking where I was during lunch. Which officially makes me the coolest sophomore ever. End of story.
My audition is SUNDAY!!! AHH! I'm incredibly nervous. But hopefully hanging out with my best friends (Steph and Jess) will help me relax.
Okay that's all for now I suppose.
Peace:]!
(The song in this title is In Fate's Hands by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Amazing song. Amazing band. I've been into a little bit of heavier rock lately, so if you like this, check out Rise Against. Another amazing band:]!)

Twas Grace That Brought Us Safe Thus Far, And Grace Will Lead Me Home.

I cannot even put into words how much the people in my generation anger me. Today, as we all know, is September 11th. Today is a day to pay RESPECT to those who passed away seven years ago. So WHY, I ask, is it necessary for teenagers to be so incredibly rude? Our school had a moment of silence, along with the entire COUNTRY today during the end of our second English class. You'd think that people would realize that the entire school is silent. So why in the world would you run up and down the hallways screaming like a flaming lunatic? I honestly don't understand. Well in my next class, Geometry, I heard The Kid Who Sits Behind Me and Throws Paper At People saying how it was him and his friends who were the ones screaming. The second I heard this I whipped my head around, looked him right in the eye and proceeded to make him feel like a jerk. And, being the ignorant pig that he is, shouted profanities back at me. It's so frusterating going to school daily with such rude children. I'd prefer to homeschool ANY day. Especially because we had to run laps in gym today. First period. What a hassle. Second period was good. We have a lot of discussion in English, and that's my favorite. Geom is always a drag. History was fairly okay. Bio was kind of fun. We took notes. Lunch was. . . lunch. French was fun. There are some funny kids in my class. And chorus is my favorite part of the day.
Not much else is going on in my life. Tonight, the chorus is singing at our Candlelight Vigil for 9/11. And Sunday is my audition for Little Women! I'm soo nervous!
I miss you all sooo much!

Sunday Clears Away The Rust Of The Whole Week- Joseph Addison

I am rather proud to announce that I have made it through an almost week of school. But please, hold your applause, because I don't want this great freat of mine to go straight to my head. If you can't tell from that, I "Supremely Dislike School" (I'm attempting not to use the word hate for this year. It's part of my School Year's Resolutions). Since nothing exciting ever occurs in my town, I'll make a list of how this week went and what I did.
-I went to school. There is simply nothing remarkable about that place. For now.
-On Monday, my English class is being split into groups, and we have to create a "bad government" and "eliminate a group in society". Joy. I'm not too sure I wish to kill anyone, thanks.
-I went to the First Dance of the Year last night. Nothing too exciting happened. It was an "Atheletic Dance" so we all dressed "sporty. I wore track shorts and softball socks and a sweat band. Clearly, everyone wears knee socks and sweat bands when participating in atheletic activities. And then they all gather in a crowded, sweaty, dark cafeteria and get mauled by Obnoxious Freshmen, Sweaty Disgusting Couples, and Kids Who Only Go to Dances to Stand On the Wall and Watch.
-I found out my audition is on the 14th. That was a relief.
Now, I feel it is absolutely necessary to share with everyone my complaints about That Jail I Am Forced to Go to Five Days A Week.
Okay, this year's Freshmen are possibly the most obnoxious people on the ENTIRE PLANET. I can honestly say that I have never been more angry while simply walking down the hallway. The Freshmen, who obviously think they're VERY cool, choose to STOP WALKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY. I kid you not, they just stop! Just because we have five minutes to get to class does not mean I need to spend it trying to shove my way through obnoxious "OMIGOD!" shouters and Boys Who Abuse Their Axe. (As a side note: Freshmen Boys: Axe does not REALLY make girls want to jump all over you. Stop applying an entire can/bottle/whatever of it to your entire body. And don't spray in in the hallway. I do not wish to smell like boy because you think the reason you don't have a girlfriend is because you don't smell "good enough".) And, on top fo that, Freshmen choose to walk five in a row up the stairs. The stairs are meant so that you walk in a single file line on teh right side of the stairs only. And also, as a message to The Jingler and The Gum Chewer and other Freshmen with obnoxious habits, STOP! I don't want to hear your gum from across the room or your jingle bell anklet when you tap your foot every five seconds.
Phew, that was very fun. But in all honesty, I don't Supremely Dislike the Freshmen, they just annoy me more than I can even attempt to put into words.
It's a big difference.

I Have Never Let My Schooling Interfere With My Education -Mark Twain

Ahh, back to school. The absolute worst time of year. I think that at about 10:30 the night before the first day of school, there's just a mass groan from all of the world's students. or at least, there was one from me. Basically, these past three days at school have made me want to cut off all of my hair. And then eat it. But anyway, here's a general overview of my day:

Period 1: Health/Gym/Study Hall - One of my least favorite times of day. Shocking, I know. But seriously, I have no friends in all of those three classes. The students consist of Stoners (Sophomores), Stoners (Juniors), Unfriendly Popular People, Obnoxious Boys, Boys Who Think Homework is Fun, and Freshmen. Actually, one of the Juniors in my class is convinced I'm a Freshman. That basically describes my first period. I don't talk to anyone.

Period 2: English - English is pretty cool I guess. My teacher's nice and I have a lot of friends in the class. Right now we're writing this essay on The Color Of Water, and I don't think I'm going to do very well since the question confuses me more than I can even describe.

Period 3: Geometry - Geometry is basically the most boring class ever. Take The Sophomore Stoners, add Freshmen, sprinkle in one of my friends who barely talks to me in the class, and multiply by my teacher, and you get Geometry. It's boring and Freshman infested. And I already have homework.

Period 4: Modern World History - History's actually pretty cool. I have a couple friends in the class and my teacher's really nice. She picks out all of this fun stuff we can do and she's pretty young so she's still generally friendly and doesn't have that 100 year old teacher smell infesting the room. So I basically enjoy the class.

Period 5: Biology - *Throws Up EVERYWHERE* This class is basically wretched. Again, I have no friends in it, and it's a small class, filled to the brim with People Who Enjoy Annoying Me. There's one girl who I *could* talk to, but she's really quiet and I don't know what to say. So again, I basically sit there thinking of ways that I could jump out of a window unscathed.

Period 6: Lunch - Lunch is generally okay, aside from the horrible food that was probably taken from a prison or a mental institution. And all of the prices on EVERYTHING went up. It's $4.25 for a sandwich. Just a sandwich.

Period 7: French - French is pretty okay too. Again I don't have any friends, but the people are generally nice and we make polite conversation.

Period 8: Special Chorus - Chorus is pretty good. I have one friend, but it seems like you make more in the class. That's basically all there is to say.

Not much else is going on. My best friend isn't in ANY of my classes, which makes me want to cry. I've read, like, 5 books in three days. That's a new record. I have an audition for a musical on the 7th and my chorus teacher is helping me prepare for that so wish me luck!!
